PENNSYLVANIA ELEGANT FALL-TO-SPRING BRIDAL SHOOT
This styled bridal shoot is the first one I’ve ever shot. The concept was inspired by the featured dress, Lyon, from BHLDN. There’s a 20s minimalism in the silhouette, yet the lace throughout the dress seems intricate and feminine. I wanted those elements to be present in the photos through the use of soft light and color against a backdrop of different textures.

“Many of us have house plants to beautify our living spaces; they clear the air we breathe, physically and mentally. They counteract the smooth, clean lines of white drywall – there is the hope that something belonging outside will make a room feel organic, effervescent. At Longwood Gardens, I felt that the orchids, fastened to a wall, and the Elephant’s Ear, large enough to blanket a small child, were the ones in need of an antidote to their nature. I’m hoping that Malachite not only highlights the plants, but also the deliberate, elegant structures of the windows and walls surrounding which surround them, where there is a need for both elements, and the aesthetics come full circle. ”

Nick + Taylor | Bethlehem, PA Engagement
I shot Nick and Taylor's engagement session in downtown Bethlehem. Taylor and I went to college together; when she contacted me about photographing her wedding, I couldn't say no! We began at the Central Moravian Church grounds (which was beautiful!), and finished the shoot outside of Hotel Bethlehem. The light was soft and gold, with just the right amount of shade – we also just managed to miss the rain! I loved being able to spend time with these two and photograph their love for each other. Their wedding day is coming up in early September.
